Lily Doortje Jane was born at 09:20 today, she weighed 3.640kg (8lbs 1oz). It was a long and tiring night but well worth it in the end. Loesje and Lily are well, and while all of us a shattered it was a great day.

Hi all, I am Lily Doortje Jane, I'd love to tell you more about myself, however you'll have to wait because you'll never believe what happened to me today!

Times up! This photo was taken at 20:19 on Sunday little were we to know what the next 13 hours had in store for us.

39 Weeks 7 days till the due date. All is well, however Loesje is very bored during the day and is now resorting to spring cleaning and regimenting (Tidying the cupboards with everything in straight lines) the kitchen.... Looking forward to the arrival of Kick and Dineke on Thursday and Dorien on Friday, also the baby too!

We went to see the midwife today, Loesje is again "Perfect", all we can do now is wait... "Kindje" will be inducted on the 11th May if it has decided that it's nicer in Loesje belly than out! After a month away from the hussle and bussle of work Loesje is BORED, battered and bruised from the inside... Better not be 3 more weeks....

38 Weeks! Only 2 more weeks.... Will it be late or early??? General consensus is that "Kindje" will be a boy and late. Another visit to the midwife on this Friday, so hopefully we'll have a little more to tell then.

37 Weeks! Only 3 more to go till the due date. We have just had a great Easter, Rob and Lewis came round and lots of games were played. Rob's niece was born on Tuesday, congratulations to Simon, Nicky and baby Lilly Sue. It was lovely to see Maria and Eline who spent the week in the garden with Loesje. Everything is fine according to the midwife Loesje saw a day early.

Happy 85th Birthday Grandad! 36 Weeks and everything is going well. "Kindje" is even more active than ever, and I am surprised Loesje is not black and blue on the outside!
